O-week Executive
![]() | Name: Jon O'Kane, O-week Chair, 3L
Undergrad Degree: Bachelor of
Science Physics, University of New Brunswick Favourite Videogame Character: The red line Tetris block Favourite Aspect of Osgoode: Hands down, our comedy show
Mock Trial! About: I love bow
ties. I can’t grow a moustache. I like bananas when they have brown
speckles all over them. I don’t understand people that like pink
popsicles or that wear shoes without socks. I adore the Maritimes!
In fact, I’m from there! Did I mention I'm still sad about the moustache
thing? I signed up as Orientation Chair because I like upholstery but it
turns out there’s more to the job. Be sure to find me during OWeek if
you’ve ever had an interest in barbershop quartets, the snooze button, and Nora
Ephron flicks. |
![]() | Name: Carla Lamb, O-week Vice Chair, 3L Undergrad Degree: Sociology and Political Science, McGill Favourite Videogame Character: Toad (Because I appreciate his bold choice of only underwear, vest and a mushroom hat) Favourite Aspect of Osgoode: The variety of social activities. Getting involved in Mock Trial, attending the yearly ski trip, CLASP, pub nights, and formals are a great way to meet other students. About: Hey there and welcome to Osgoode! I'm one of the more awkward people at Osgoode, and particularly so when writing about myself. I'm from Vancouver, and am a big fan of outdoor activities - snowboarding, running, and biking. I love peanut butter and popcorn (by themselves and together - the two actually make a great combo). I can't start my weekends without a huge brunch at a greasy spoon. I often go out for dinner with friends, and love trying new restaurants and areas of the city. I am looking forward to meeting all of you! |
![]() | Name: Stacy McFarlane, O-week Vice Chair, 3L
Undergrad Degree: BComm (Honours), double major in Finance and Real Estate, UBC Favourite Videogame Character: Bowser Favourite Aspect of Osgoode: The view from the JCR when it snows. About: A transplant from the west coast, who actually likes Toronto better but may not admit it. You'll probably find me arguing municipal politics in the JCR or working with the Board on policy in the CLASP office. I'm excited to be vice-chairing Orientation this year, and can't wait to meet everyone during OWeek. I will happily talk with you about Osgoode, Orientation, Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria, Rob Ford, single family housing, vertical farming, clinical programs, public healthcare; you name it, I'll discuss it. Welcome to Oz, and take advantage of Orientation to explore it - with 900 students, you're guaranteed to find your kindred spirit somewhere. |

Biochemistry with a Major in English Language and Literature, UWO Favourite Videogame Character: Mario (I’m a sucker for a man with facial hair) Favourite Aspect of Osgoode: I just love how diverse our student body is. You wouldn’t know it at first glance, but the person next to you could be an artist, a teacher or even a theater major! About: A proud section C’er, I came to Osgoode right after finishing my degree at Western so I’m a young’un. At Os I’ve been heavily involved with student government as well as Mock Trial, CLASP and other volunteer activities. In my spare time I enjoy reading sci-fi novels, going to concerts and festivals, drawing and painting, watching a copious amount of movies and questionable television, and attempting to cook delicious things (with varying degrees of success). If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to come up to me and chat! |

About: 5 '2, brown hair, love dogs... oh wait, that's my eharmony profile. So far I've joined the orientation committee and walked with Osgoode in the Pride Parade. You'll be sure to see me at all of the Orientation week events, pub nights, and anything else that they'll let me in to. As a little Italian due once said "We can fix anything if there's spaghetti involved!" |

During my spare time I like to compose songs in my head. Knowing that I do this will help you make sense of seeing me walking through the halls of Osgoode while zoning out and humming to myself.
